Take an -er verb, remove the -er and add the imperfect ending

Take the present tense 'nous' form, remove the -ons and add the imperfect ending

Take the subject, the verb 'avoir' and add a past participle

The next 7 questions cover some very common words you will need in French in KS4. These words are very important because they give away or subtly change the meaning of a sentence. An action you did on a regular basis in the past (I was doing/I used to do)

What do we use the imperfect tense to describe?

Remove the -er/-ir/-re from the infinitive

Take the 'nous' form in the present tense and remove the -ons

How do you say 'I was playing/I used to play'?

How do you say 'I was living/I used to live'?

How do we say 'I used to hate' (we hate = nous détestons)?
