All lower case letters have an upper case formation.

Upper case formations of letters are known as capital letters.

Some lower case formations do not have a capital letter.

Capital letters always sit between the baseline and the ascender line.

Lower case letters always sit between the baseline and the ascender line.

Lower case letters can be x-height letters.

Lower case letters are the same size as capital letters.
