In 'The Empire Windrush: Diary Entry', pupils will learn about the Windrush as a significant event in British history and consider the impact and experience of migrants who travelled to Britain on the Empire Windrush.

In the prior unit, pupils were introduced to persuasive techniques and features found in persuasive letters. In this unit, pupils apply this knowledge to the context of the realistic fiction novel, 'Front Desk’.’
