- Hi everyone, and welcome back to another RHE lesson.
My name is Miss Plummer and the title of this lesson is "Community Care." Let's get started.
We will begin this lesson by talking about the scrapbook that we are creating throughout the unit.
After that, you are going to think about a team, a group that you belong to.
Then, you are going to think about your experiences within that team, things that have gone well, things that could have been better.
Then, you're going to become the leader of the pack, and you're going to write your own team talk.
This unit is all about belonging, identifying special things about you and groups you belong to.
Each lesson, we are creating something for our scrapbook.
Here's mine, and inside it's got my special memories.
Pause the video now if you want to go and find your scrapbook.
Now it's time for you to think about a team that you belong to, it could be your class in school, it might be a religious group, it could even be like a sports group, for example, football, or swimming, jujitsu.
Think about a team that you belong to now.
Pause the video.
Did you manage to think of a team that you belong to? Amazing.
Now let's think about that team.
What do you like about it? What do you not like so much? Let's think about your experiences.
Being part of a team is all about making new friends, learning new skills, but most of all, having fun.
Pause the video now to think about what you like about your team, or what could maybe be better.
Come back soon.
It's time for you to imagine you're the leader of the pack, the leader of your team.
Think about football, there's always a manager who's in charge of the players.
And the manager has a very special job, at the start of each game, before the players go on to the football pitch, they have a talk, a team talk, and the manager will tell the players things that they've learned in training, he will remind them what their job is, and he will also make them feel better about themselves and get them all excited for the game.
What would you put in your team talk for your team? What would you tell your players, or the other members of your team? Have a think.
