Cooking and nutrition

This unit develops pupils' food skills through the context of food from around the world. Pupils learn about the structure of a recipe, how to portion foods evenly and, with supervision, use heat in cooking.

Cooking around the world

In this unit pupils explore the factors that determine what people eat and drink. They investigate and plan food for different occasions and celebrations, and make tuna canapés for a party.

Food and drink choices

This unit investigates food grown, reared and caught in the UK and around the globe. Pupils name and locate food origins, expanding their experiences of food and cuisines. They make apple flapjacks, identifying ingredients from the UK.
