Hi everyone! My name is Miss Toole and this is Bear.

And we'd love to start with how you can bring your teddy bear along with you for today's lesson and use them when I get Bear out as well.

Let's see what we're going to be doing today.

We're going to do some spellings, then we're going to be listening and we're going to be reflecting on what we listened to.

So you will need an exercise book or some paper, preferably with lines on, a pencil and your fabulous brain.

And if you like to, you can go and get your Teddy so they can join in today's fun lesson.

So pause the video now to go and get your resources.

And when you've got them you can press "Play" and carry on with our learning.

Before we start, I want to play a game called "Tell Me More" I wonder, have you ever played this game before? Don't worry if not, because were going to explain what you have to do.

One person will start speaking and then their friend will say: "Tell me more about a certain word in that sentence." And then they will tell them about that.

Then their friend will say: "Tell me more about another sentence." And we continue until we learn lots of information and get knowledge on different things.

So I'm going to start.

And then Bear is going to pick one and say: "Tell me more." So, when I am not doing schoolwork I like to go walk my dog.

Tell you more about my dog.

My dog is a black Cockapoo called Zuko who loves to chase sticks and tennis balls.

Tell you more about sticks? Sticks come from trees.

And they usually fall to the ground when the tree dies.

Tell you more about trees? Trees are planted in the ground and can grow to be really tall.

And trees actually help us to breathe because they provide the oxygen.

Tell you more about oxygen? Oxygen is what we breathe in and goes into our lungs to help us to keep going and to stay alive.

Bear said he has finished that game now but wonders if you could have a go at home with your bear.

Let's have a look at what we're going to be doing in "Spelling" in this unit.

We are going to be learning about common exception words, which we know as tricky words and they are tricky words because we can't sound them out.

We just have to know them.

And when we are spelling them, we need to be using our letter names.

And we learned our letter names by singing the alphabet.

I'm going to sing it and I'd like you to join in with me, When I'm singing I'm going to tap my shoulder to each letter.

And I want you to make sure you are really saying the sounds nice and clear by opening up your mouth because it will help you when you come to do your spellings.

How did you find that? Did you enjoy doing the alphabet? Now we're going to use those letters to help us spell some of our tricky words.

I wonder if you could challenge yourself now and see if you can remember some of the words I have said and have a go at writing down the spellings.

Let's have a go at pausing the video and challenge yourself to write some of our words down and we're going to focus on them throughout the unit, so we are experts in spelling some of our tricky words.

Myself and Bear are going to try and persuade you to buy something.

So have a listen and see if you can guess what it is.

Do you know what "persuade" means, Bear? You are not too sure? Let me tell you.

"Persuade" is when you tell somebody all the great and positive things about something in order to get them to do something or maybe to buy something.

So we are going to be persuading people to buy our honey! Wow.

Are you going to listen to how we are going to persuade you and tell you all the fantastic things? Let's have a look.

Hello everyone.

My name is Dr.

Sweet and I am a honey seller.

Every Friday I sell my jars of honey at the farmer's market.

This is what I say to get people to buy my honey: "Roll up, roll up, listen everybody.

Come and buy my honey! Buy it with your money! It's really sweet and runny! Put it in your tummy! This is absolutely the best honey in town.

And let me explain why you should all buy it.

First, it's delicious! My honey comes from bees next to a field of roses.

My honey tastes of roses.

It is delicious.

Second, it is famous! Show it to your friends and they will be impressed that you have such amazing honey! They will respect you if you buy my honey! Third, it is great value.

You can buy one jar for £5 or three for £10,50! Hurry now, before I run out of honey and you will have to buy cheap, boring honey from the supermarket! Buy it now before it's too late.

Buy it now and you will feel great! Buy it now, don't stand there and wait.
