Hi everybody! Welcome back to your unit all about data.
Today is a really fun lesson and I can't wait to get started.
So, put on your hats , tighten those ties , and tell the computer, "Now I'm a mathematician!" Great.
Let's get started with our lesson.
So this lesson is run by you.
Your task is to collect data from around the house and present it as a time graph.
Here are some ideas of data that you could collect: recording the daily temperature over the day, sitting in the garden and count how many birds you can see each hour, going for a walk and record how far you've walked every 10 to 15 minutes.
What I've done here is included a frequency table for you so you have your times which might go up in five minutes or ten minutes on the hours and how many of the option that you have chosen.
For example, I decided that my time graph is going to be how many cars were parked on Miss Hills' road on a Monday.
So at 8:00 there were 21, at 10:00 there were 17 because some people had gone for work, and then I'm going to keep on counting to see how many cars were on the road.
And then I'm going to turn this information into my time graph.
So what you need to do now is pause the video, collect your data , and then turn it into a time graph.
Good luck! If you'd like to, please ask your parent or carer to share your work on Twitter, tagging @OakNational and #LearnwithOak.
I've had so much fun with you today, and I hopefully look forward to seeing you soon! If you'd like to, please ask your parent or carer to share your work on Twitter, tagging @OakNational and #LearnwithOak.
I look forward to learning again with you soon.
'Bye!.
