Hello, welcome everyone.

It's Mr. Latif, once again.

And we're finally coming to the end of this unit on Islam beliefs.

So today's lesson is: Deliberate Practise.

So what is deliberate practise? Well it's really to revisit our learning and to really ensure that we're not making the same mistakes.

So today we'll be doing the following.

We will be revisiting, revising and reflecting what we learned so far and also linking key quotes to beliefs.

So key things as always, you need your exercise book or some line paper, a black or blue pen, a different coloured pen for any corrections.

Your attentive ears and that curious brain.

So ensure that you have those things and let's get into our learning for today.

So welcome to your learning today, and just a reminder of what we'll be doing in deliberate practise.

To revise, revisit and to reflect on what we've learned so far and also to visit and learn key quotes, and linking these key quotes to beliefs.

So there's five things that you need as always please ensure that you have them.

If you don't have them, this is a great opportunity for you now just to pause the video to get them, but if not, let's continue.

So we're going to have some quick fire questions.

So what I'd like for you to do is the following, to write down the right answer to each question.

So which term refers to divine decree of Allah? Is it A, Tawhid.

B, Qadr.

C, Imamate.

Or four, Qur'an.

You've got five seconds.

And three, two, one.

So the term that you should've had is Qadr.

This refers to the divine decree of Allah.

And remember this is one of the six articles of faith.

So if you need to make a correction, please ensure that you do just after the answer is given to you.

Next question.

What term refers to the creator or the maker in terms of attributes of God? Is that Al-Latif, Al-Rahman, Al-Raheem or Al-Khaliq.

Five seconds once again.

And the answer that you should have had is the following.

Al-Khaliq means the creator and this is something that actually links to your first question.

We looked at predestination.

Question three.

Which term refers to the Shi'a belief of leadership and authority of the Imams? Is that Al Ma'ad, Tawhid, Imamate or Ashura? So once again, five seconds.

And the answer you should have had is the following, Imamate and remember we did a lesson on this, so very important within the Shi'a tradition, in terms of leadership and authority of those of Ahl al-Bayt or family or household of the Prophet.

So it has to do with the bloodline.

Next question.

Who was the first Imam in the Shi'a tradition? Is it Hasan, Husayn, Abu Bakr or Ali? Five seconds once again.

And the answer that should've had is Ali.

Remember he's the cousin and the son-in-law of the Prophet Muhammad.

Whilst Hasan and Husayn are the grandsons of Prophet Muhammad and Abu Bakr was one of the best friends and companions of the Prophet.

So he wasn't from his bloodline.

Next question.

What does the term Rasul mean? The chosen one, Prophet, Messenger or none of the above? Five seconds.

And the answer that you should have had is the following.

It means the messenger.

So remember, God reveals many messengers for humanity, which reveals his message and his guidance.

Next question.

How many prophets are there mentioned in the Qur'an? Is it 25, 24, 23 or 124,000? Five seconds.

And the answer you should have had is the following.

Its only the mention of 25, but it is believed there are 124,000 prophets or messengers.

Next question.

What qualities do the prophets have? Is it that they call people towards Tawhid, they gave to charity and looked after the poor, they're infallible in conveying the message, which means they cannot error or all of the above.

Five seconds.

And the answer you should have had is, all of the above.

The prophets were deemed to have all of these characteristics and many Muslims read the Quran and the stories of the prophets to gain a bit of inspiration, to be motivated, to ensure that they have those qualities as well and those characteristics.

Next question.

What did Prophet Ibrahim do? Did he sail on a boat, did he break the idols to show people true monotheism, did he split the moon, did he walk on water? Five seconds.

I remember the breaking of the idols.

So this is when they, his society went out for a feast and he broke the idols to show them true monotheism.

Do you remember what occurred? They got very angry, when they saw that there was an axe left in the biggest idols hands, and when they asked Prophet Ibrahim, "Who did this?" and he said, "Well, you can ask our idol." And they said, "Well the idol can't speak, the idol can't move, you're just trying to make a point." God cannot be contained in an idol.

Next question.

What dream did Prophet Ibrahim have? To sacrifice his son, to leave his society, to build the pyramids or none of the above.

Which question, which answer of those four would you say? Five seconds.

And the answer you should have had is the following.

Remember to sacrifice his son Ishmael.

So at the point of actually I'm recording this, is really important because actually in the Islamic calender, it's the month where Hajj is going to occur.

So we're in the final 10 days right now in terms of when I'm actually recording this.

So currently it is a July time.

It is really important, why do I say that? Because remember for Muslims, the end of Hajj, Id ul-Adha and remember how you remember this Adha, A at the end for Abraham, there's a Qurbani.

And a Qurbani, is a sacrificing of an animal to which the meat is distributed to the poor and to the family as well.

And this remembers events where the Prophet was told to sacrifice his son, but Allah was testing him to which a goat or ram was sacrificed instead.

So big history there in terms of this question and linking it with the current climate as well, next question.

What term means the oneness and the unity of Allah? You should definitely get this, right, yeah? Tajweed, Zakah, Suhuf or Tawhid, five seconds.

And the answer that you should have had is, Tawhid.

Remember the oneness and the unity of Allah.

Next question, what Surah did we learn about that really shows Tawhid? Is it Surah 101, Surah 112, Surah 102 or Surah 113.

Which out of the five can you remember? Maybe you can remember certain parts of the Surah.

Three, two and you should have had the following.

You should have had Surah 112 which says, "He is the Allah, the one, the eternal, the absolute, He begets none, nor was he begotten." It's a very important Surah for Muslims today.

And as I say, there's always many messages beside this when they're praying.

What's happens on a day of judgement ? Everyone gets judged equally.

We will all be before the sight of Allah.

Your deeds will be weighed or all the above.

Five seconds.

And the answer that you should have had is all of the above.

All of these things will occur on the day of judgement.

What angels or angel questions you in the grave? Raqib and Atid, Munkar and Nakir, Jibril and Mik'ail, or Jibril and Israfil.

Which of the angels will ask you questions in the grave? Five seconds.

And the answer that you should have had is the second one.

Munkar and Nakir, remember that these angels are seen as very scary when they, when you are questioned in the grave and the questioning in the grave only occurs after the final person has left the burial of you in the graveyard.

Next question.

What prophet received the revelation of the Qur'an? You should definitely get this, right? Ibrahim, Isa, Muhammad, or Dawud, which of the four? And the answer that you should have had is Prophet Muhammad.

Remember he's the final prophet, he's a Seal of Prophets, and he's known as the trustworthy, as one of his nicknames.

Occurred in 610 Common Era and finished in 632, in two cities, Mecca and Medina.

And was revealed to him, the angel Jibril, next question.

The Qur'an is? The direct and divine word of Prophet Muhammad.

The teaching of Isa.

The final and perfect revelation or the parables of Isa.

Which out of the four, five seconds.

And the answer you should have had is the final and perfect revelation for all of human kind.

There'll be no more relations in Islam, according to Muslims, the next question.

Which holy book is associated with Isa? Is it Injils, Suhuf, Tawrat or the Qur'an? Which of the four? Let's see if you can remember.

And your answer should have been number one, the Injils.

Next question, how many previous holy books were there? Were there five, three, one or four? And the answer should have had is, there were four previous revelations.

Remember these revelations were holy books, they were distorted and corrupted over time.

So the Qur'an is the final revelation for all of humanity and it's final and complete and perfect.

What angel is associated with revelations? Is it Mika'il, Azrael, Jibril or none of the above.

And the answer that you should have had is Jibril.

Remember the arch angel that reveals the revelations to many prophets.

Now this key example that we've seen just before he was the person who revealed the first verse and all the verses to the Prophet Muhammad in Mecca and Medina.

Angels are? Made out of lights, have no free will, please Allah or all of the above, five seconds.

And you should have had the following.

They are all of the above.

They have no free will, they please God, and they are made out of light.

So they're metaphysical beings.

So what we're going to do now is move on to learning some key quotations.

So I'm just going to dIsappear for just a moment.

There we go.

So what are we going to do.

What I like for you to do now is to spend 15 minutes looking at these quotations.

So just reading them as much as you can, try to remember them, you can write them down, then cover and then try to repeat them by heart if you can.

And I'll see you in 15 minutes, because afterwards we are going to be looking at what we can remember from each quotation.

Now, what I'd like for you to do is to spend 10 minutes and to see if you can remember to copy out this quotations.

So I've got some key terms there on the side.

Let's see if you can correctly identify the gaps that are missing and I will see you in 10 minutes.

So on the Word Bank, recording, inherit, Eternal, Allah Recite, Paradise, Him, created and keeper.

These key terms go somewhere in these four key verses.

So see you in 10 minutes to which we will go over our answers together.

So those were the answers that were the parts of the gaps that were missing in these key verses.

And please try not to look at your notes beforehand, try to do it on a different side of the piece of paper, on a new piece of paper.

So a good way to remember those verses a bit of a task there, I wonder how you did.

So at the end of the learning as always when a trusted adult and carer allows you to do so, I'd really love to see your answers, to see how you did there.

So moving on.

Now let's look at the meaning of these quotations.

So let's look at these four quotations that we've been learning today.

So what I'd like for you to do now, is to pause the video in a moment and to complete the explanation below.

So you have the verse there at the top.

And what I'd like for you to do is to answer the three questions just below.

How does this quotation link to the belief that God is or what God is? What does it show? And Muslims would therefore worship what? So this part of the video could I please ask and give you seven minutes for this task and for you to pause the video and I'll see you in seven minutes.

So welcome back and let's look at our answer.

So you should have had the following.

Say: He is Allah, the One; Allah, the Eternal, the Absolute; He begets none, nor is He begotten.

And there is none like unto Him.

So this quotation in the Qur'an shows the importance of Tawhid, the oneness of God.

it also explains how God has no partners or any parents.

God is seen here as Eternal, Absolute and the Known and Muslims will submit on worship to him alone.

So those are the answers you should've had for those three sentences.

Please ensure that you check your answers before moving on, and please ensure that you add anything or make any corrections for any mistakes that you've may have made.

Now, the second verse.

Recite in the name of your Lord, who created man from a clinging substance from the Qur'an.

And remember, this is one of the first revelations.

So, three questions once again and seven minutes.

This quotation links to Prophet Muhammad because, It also tells Muslims to do, and this is the first what? So this should be quite easy.

For this task, let's spend another seven minutes.

Welcome back, how did you do? So this quotation here.

It was the first quotation from the Qur'an as the first revelation Angel Jibril gave to Prophet Muhammad.

It emphasises the start of the final revelation of Allah to all of humankind known as Qur'an.

And it emphasises that Muslims read the revelation of the Qur'an 'cause it's an instruction.

Read in the name of your Lord.

So if there's any corrections that you need to make, please ensure that you pause the video now, to make those corrections, if not, let's continue.

So continuing on from there.

And they will be called.

This is paradise, which you have been made to inherit for what you used to do.

What does this quotation reveal? How does it influence a Muslim? What would it influence a Muslim to do? And can you remember what some of the rewards of Jannah are from your learning? So for this task again, seven minutes and I'll see you in seven minutes.

How did we do? You should have had the following answer for this question.

This quotation from the Qur'an reveals how those who were righteous will go to Jannah, meaning Heaven.

Due to their good deeds they'll be rewarded in Jannah.

Jannah is an eternal place of peace with rewards of rivers of milk, honey and mansions and robes or gold and silk.

And the biggest reward, please ensure that you've written that as well.

The biggest reward is seeing the face of your Lord Allah, according to Muslims. So once again, if there's any corrections that need to be made, can I please ask you to pause the video now, just before you move on.

And the final few verses.

So we got two verses left.

Indeed appointed over you are the keepers; noble and recording, they know whatever you do.

So for this task, I'm actually going to give you five minutes, yeah, so we're going to cut off two more minutes.

This quotation, reveals the belief in what? What does it influence a Muslim to do? And why would they want to do this? So five minutes for this task, can I please ask for you to pause the video once again and I'll see you in five minutes.

They know whatever you do.

So this quotation reveals the role and importance of the angels.

In this quote it reveals that the angels record our actions.

So this would influence a Muslim to do good actions and to seek forgiveness for their bad actions and to try and stay on the straight path if they want to go to Jannah.

The final destination, which they seek, Heaven, not Hell.
