Hello and welcome for the final time, it's me, Mr. Latif.

And the reason I say it's the final time 'cause this is the final lesson after a big stretch of lessons over those two unit on Islam beliefs and Islam practises.

So today in our lesson, we'll be looking at deliberate practise.

Now if you have been a student who has watched all of these videos and participated in all of the learning over the course of these 26 lessons, give yourself a big pat on the back and a big round of applause as well.

I think you have done absolutely fantastic, an amazing job, and I really hope you've enjoyed all the learning on Islam beliefs and practises.

So today in our lesson on deliberate practise, we will be focusing once again on revisiting and revising with key beliefs and key teachings as well.

So for that final time, you will need some lined paper, a black or blue pen, a different coloured pen, those attentive ears and yes, that curious brain as well.

Now once you have those five things, let's start our learning today.

So as mentioned just before today, in our learning we'll focus on deliberate practise.

So we'll be focusing on revisiting and revising parts of this learning on Islam and practises and focusing on key quotations and how they're linked to certain beliefs.

So as a reminder, you need these five things.

If you do not have them, this is a great opportunity for you to get them, if not, let's continue on.

Now we're going to start today with some quick fire questions.

So there's two options for this as always, you can either write down the question or you can just write down the answer.

So let's start off, Khalifah links to? Heaven or Hell, worship, treatment of the environment or slaughter of animals, you got five seconds.

And the answer that you should've had is the treatment of the environment.

Remember, Khalifah means vicegerent or steward of Allah.

Next question, what is done before the Salah? Is it a private prayer, is it Wudu, is it money given to charity or is it none of the above, five seconds.

And the answer should have had is the Wudu, which is the washing done before to purify oneself.

Next question.

What direction do Muslims face when they pray? Is it Makkah, Medina, Jerusalem, or Basra? Five seconds.

And the answer that you should have had is Makkah, where the Kaaba is, the house of Allah.

Makkah and Medina are the two Holy cities in Islam.

Next question.

Hajj must be done how many times in a Muslims life? Three, five, two or one and you've got five seconds.

And the answer you should have had is one.

It's compulsory to do once in your life, if you are able to do so, if you are unable to do so or did not do it in your life, someone can do it on your behalf.

What term refers to voluntary charity? Is it Shahadah, Zakah, Sadaqah or Adha, which are the four? And the answer is Sadaqah, which means voluntary charity.

There is no limit of how much you can give and it can be given to anyone, regardless of who they are at any time during the year.

Whether it's from your savings or your earnings as well.

How many Rakats are there in Fajr? Is it one, is it two, is it three or is it four? And the answer is two, which is the shortest, out of the five prayers as well.

Next question.

Muslims wear their best clothes and perfume on what day? Is it the Hajj, every Monday, once a month, or is it on the Id's? And it is on the Id, which the day of celebration, it's the day of festival as well, next question.

What is said at the birth rite? Is it Bismillah, inshallah, Shahadah or none of the above.

And the answer you should have had is the Shahadah.

This is said, or whispered in the ears of the newborn, which declares that they are born as a Muslim.

What is the name of the house of Allah? Is it a Kaaba, Medinah, Risalah or Tawhid? And the answer is, it is the Kaaba, next question.

How many pillars are there in Islam? Five, six, one or three.

I'm only going to give you three seconds for this.

And the answer you should have had is five.

There are five pillars in Islam.

Next question, which Id comes first? Ashura, Id ul-Fitr, Hajj or Id ul-Adha.

Five seconds as always, And the answer that you should have had is Id ul-Fitr which is the end of Ramadan or the first day of Shawwal.

Where did Husayn and his followers get killed? Is it Kufa, Karbala, Bahdad or Medina.

And the answer you should have had is Karbala.

That's where the battle occurred.

Next question, what key belief is found in the Shahadah? Is it Angels, Heaven and Hell, Qur'an or Tawhid? And the answer that you should have is Tawhid, the oneness of God.

What Prophet and his people were saved from the evil Pharaoh? Was it Dawud, Khidr, Muhammad or Musa? And the answer that you should have had is Musa.

Next question.

Zakah reminds Muslims that? All wealth comes from Allah, the poor have rights over them, they have a duty of care towards the poor, or all of the above, five seconds.

And the answer that you should have had is all of the above, reminds them of all these key different things.

So this part of the video, I'd like for you to spend 10 minutes and make a mind map on the five pillars.

So I want you to get The 5 pillars in the middle and then put the five different ones which are Shahadah, Salah, Zakah, Sawm and Hajj, And for each of those as well, to write out some key things about each of the different five pillars.

So for this task, I like to give you 10 minutes.

So once I've disappeared, could I please ask you to pause the video, and spend 10 minutes on making a mind map on the five pillars.

So let's go over the five pillars on the mind map here.

So I'm going to start with the top right on Hajj.

So Hajj is a pilgrimage and it links to Ibrahim and the rituals that occurred at the Hajj link to the life of Ibrahim, it's as known as a pilgrimage and Muslims go visit the Kaaba.

Then we have Sawm, which is the act of fasting.

This is done to develop Taqwa as the Qur'an states it upon this verse, in which it says for them to observe fasting as it was observed by those before them so they may develop God consciousness.

And when Muslims are fasting they abstaining from food and water, but also remember they're abstain from bad habits as well.

And Sawm falls under the month of Ramadan, then we have Zakah.

And Zakah reminds Muslims to look after the poor.

It's 2.

5% of your savings not your earnings and Zakah means that which purifies.

Zakah was also a voluntary action and it's an action of worship and it reminds Muslims that all wealth comes from Allah.

Then we have the Shahadah, which is the testimony of faith it's a declaration, there is no God, but Allah and Prophet Muhammad is his final messenger.

It is the first pillar and linked to the birth and death rites and it's also said in the Adhan, and it's a very important part of belief and faith.

Then we have Salah.

Salah the oneness of God, worship to God and God alone, not performing or doing the major sin of Shirk.

There's five daily prayers, which remind Muslims to remember God and to obey God and also to communicate with God, private worship.

And there's also the Adhan, which is called beforehand and Muslims do the Wudu as well and has many different regards.

So these are the five pillars.

Now you may have had more included for that, and there's an opportunity at the end of the lesson to share your work, so I'm able to see your work once you've got permission from a trusted adult or carer.

So that is the mind map of the five pillars.

And we see a key thing there, the actions, as well as belief, and as well as faith.

They occur at different parts of a Muslim's life.

For some of them, it is a daily action, like the Salah.

For some actions only once in the Islamic calendar, like Sawm and for others it's only once a year like Zakah and others once in your lifetime, like Hajj.

So you can see the impact there on the life of a Muslim and then next to the five pillars.

So now we're going to focus on learning some key quotations.

So what I have is the following.

I would like for you to spend seven minutes, yeah, seven minutes to learn these key quotations, to try to remember them by heart, to your best ability.

And then in a moment I'm going to test and see if you can remember each of the key words in the quotation.

So could I please offer you to pause the video and spend 10 minutes to remember them.

You can either write them down to cover and then to see if you can write them down again.

Or you can just read them.

So could I please ask for you to pause the video just now.

Okay, here's your first challenge.

Let's see if you can copy out the quotations and fill in the gap.

So for this task, I'm going to give you 10 minutes.

Now, let's step up the challenge.

So these are some key quotations that link to certain parts of Allah.

The first one's Zakah, the second one in terms of Salah, the third one, the Hajj and the fourth one, Sawm.

So those four pillars there.

Now let's look at the meaning of these quotations.

So although we now being able to understand, or, you know, remember the quotations by heart, we now need to consider the meaning and the impact of these quotations.

So in a moment, you can have the quotation and you can have some sentences to finish off.

And so for each of these tasks, I like to give you seven minutes.

Now, you don't have to write down a quotation as you already have it, but please ensure that you're finishing the sentences that you see.

So let's look at the first one.

So for this first quotation that says, Zakah expenditures are only for the poor and the needy and for those employed to collect Zakah and for bringing the hearts together for Islam.

So seven minutes, I'd like for you to spend, to do the following task, this quotation links to the pillar of and what does it show? Once I disappear, your seven minutes start and I'll see you in seven.

How did you do? So the things that you should have had is the following: This links to the pillar of Salah, which is the most important pillar out of the five.

It tells Muslims that by praying they develop Taqwa and it acts as a restraint away from bad deeds and wrongdoing.

So it's kind of just really repeating, what's said in a quotation, but linking in terms of behaviour, the impact that it has on the life of a Muslim.

Third quotation says, Purify My House for those who perform the Tawaf and for those staying there for worship.

It would influence a Muslim to perform the Hajj and to visit the Kaaba, which is the house of Allah and to perform the Tawaf which was done by Prophet Ibrahim and that of Prophet Muhammad.

So an obligation, something that a Muslim should do once in their life.
