In this lesson, children will learn about how humans grow into adulthood. They will learn about the different stages a human goes through when growing into an adult. They will look at the similarities and differences of this growth and will be asked to sequence pictures of human growth. The children will be tasked to create an 'I grow and change!' poster, where they will draw their journey into adulthood.

In today's lesson the children will learn that growing up will change our bodies. They will learn that as we grow we get bigger and taller. They also will look at how our age affects our skin and teeth and mobility. To complete the lesson the children will paint a picture of how they look now and how they will look much later on. They will list key words to describe the change.

This lesson covers death. If this is a sensitive topic for your child then please make sure they are adequately supervised. In this lesson the children will learn that living things can't live forever and death is part of the circle of life. They will learn about the different words associated with death and how to deal with their loss. The children will be reminded that our time with our loved ones is very special and will be encouraged to make special memories.
