Arif talks about why he works at the food bank
Key Stage 1
Year 1
Religious education
Hello, my name is Arif and I'm a Muslim. I work at the Humanity First Food Bank in a town called Murfield. It's very important for me as a Muslim to help other human beings. I pray to God, but I also want to make sure that all of my other human beings, irrespective of what religion they are, can get help. That's why at this food bank, we try and help everybody. We help older people, younger people, we help children, and it's very nice that we're able to help so many different people from many, many different backgrounds. If people are hungry and they cannot get food, they can come to our food bank and we can give them a food parcel. It doesn't matter what religion they are, it doesn't matter what they believe in, we will try and help everyone that we can.
