- Other emphatic pronouns are lui (him), elle (her), eux (them) and elles (them).
- Emphatic pronouns are used with à to express possession e.g. Il est à toi, ce cahier?

Common misconception
'Elle' only means she and 'elles' only means they when naming a group of girls or women.
