Lesson details
Key learning points
- Know that artists can take inspiration from the colours we might find within each season.
- Know that other artists might have a different opinion to you.
- Know that a triptych is made from three sections or panels.
- Know that artists can plan for an artwork with the colours that they select and combine.
Keywords
Opinion - what you think about something
Season - one of the four parts of the year; spring, summer, autumn, and winter
Plan - when you think about what you want to do and then decide how you will do it
Triptych - a type of artwork that has three parts which work together
Common misconception
All opinions should be the same.
Remind children that other people might disagree with you or have a different opinion. This is what helps to make art exciting.
Remember, this is a task to experiment and pupils may not wish to use all of their colour combinations in their final triptych. Encourage pupils to explore different colour combinations on their palettes.
