Key learning points

  1. Know about and describe the work of some artists, craftspeople, architects and designers who use ceramics as their key process.
  2. Can gather and review information, references and resources and relate these to ideas and intentions for clay work.
  3. Can use a sketchbook for different purposes, including recording observations, planning and shaping ideas.
  4. Can understand basic techniques related to claywork: slabbing, joining and drawing into clay.

This lesson includes some physical activity and equipment beyond pen, paper or pencil. Please make sure your child is adequately supervised.
