Lesson details

Key learning points

  1. Each sprite must be selected to add commands specific to that sprite.
  2. The 'Start on tap' block triggers specific actions.
  3. The sequence of blocks determines the behaviour of the program.

Keywords

  • Quiz - a game where you answer questions to see if you are right

  • Background - the still picture on the stage in ScratchJr

  • Say block - a command block that makes a sprite show words in a speech bubble

Common misconception

Selecting a sprite automatically assigns it to the background that you want it on.

You need to manually place sprites and ensure their code corresponds to the intended background.
