Lesson details
Key learning points
- When you use IT, there are certain rules.
- IT rules help to keep people and devices safe.
Keywords
Rules - instructions everyone should follow to keep us safe
Private - something that belongs to you and is not for everyone to see or use
Common misconception
It’s safe to share passwords with friends because they won’t misuse them.
Passwords should always be kept private to protect personal information and keep your device safe from others using it without permission.
It would be helpful for pupils to remember common IT rules, such as similar school or home rules, so that they can understand the boundaries they have already been given for use of IT.
