Lesson details

Key learning points

  1. The choice of search terms affects the information that you find.
  2. Hyperlinks allow users to navigate between multiple web pages.

Keywords

  • Hyperlink - a clickable link that takes you to another web page, a section on the same page, or a different website

  • Search operator - a special symbol or word that helps you refine or focus your search results when using a search engine

Common misconception

The more words I add to a search, the better my results will be.

Adding too many words can make a search too specific, limiting useful results. Use search operators like AND, OR, and NOT to refine the search and still find good information.
