Lesson details

Key learning points

  1. Personal reflection informs design developments.
  2. Client feedback informs design developments.

Keywords

  • Analysis - examining something in detail

  • Development - improving and building on design ideas to make them better

  • Feedback - comments on a design to help improve or refine it

  • Justification - the reason or explanation for why something is done, or believed to be right

Common misconception

Development of design ideas is coming up with a completely new idea or the idea has to be changed significantly.

Developing an idea can be changing and altering very small things such as function, materials, size, proportion or aesthetics.
