Common misconception
Pupils may find it challenging to use 'sulky' as an adjective and 'sulking' as a verb in sentences.
Model sentences using both 'sulky' and 'sulking'. Use this an opportunity to recap word classes.
Pupils may find it difficult or upsetting to discuss moments that have made them feel sad. Consider teaching this lesson as you would a PSHE lesson and go through the ground rules of discussions around emotions and personal feelings.
