  • Plan - a proposal for something you intend to do

  • Deceive - cause someone to believe something that is not true

  • Single paragraph outline - a way of organising your paragraph into three sections: a topic sentence, supporting detail and a concluding sentence

Common misconception

Some pupils think that planning isn't a helpful or worthwhile exercise.

Planning allows us to carefully consider our ideas before writing and allows us to work out what ideas work best for the task we've been given. Planning often results in a final stronger piece of work so is very worthwhile!

You may wish to change the main writing task of LC2 depending on the needs and interests of your class.
