  • Phishing - Phishing is where emails or messages ask for information such as passwords or credit card numbers in order to steal money. They can look as though they come from people or companies you know.

Common misconception

Only foolish people fall for scams.

Scammers steal millions each year and they are often very sophisticated in how they do it. Many sensible people are caught out because the scammers are so convincing and prey on people's fears.
