- The SSCs [ain] and [in] sound the same. This is also the same sound as [aim/im].
- When this nasal sound appears in front of the letters -p or -b, it is spelled [im] instead of [in], e.g. 'timbre'.
- In French, the subject pronoun 'on' is used to talk about what people in general do.
- 'On' can be translated as 'everyone' (or 'people'), 'you' or 'one'. It is commonly used in French.
- The pronoun 'on' uses the same verb endings as 'il, elle'.
