Key learning points
- The SSC [qu] has the same sound in French as the hard 'c', like the [qu] in 'quand' which means 'when'.
- The singular forms of the verb 'partir' (to leave) have the same endings as the verb 'sortir' (to go out); -s,-s,-t,-t.
- These endings are silent final consonants, so the singular verb forms all sound the same.
- To express our future intentions, we use the 'je' form of the verb 'aller' followed by a verb in its infinitive form.
- To express other people's future intentions, we use the 'tu' or 'il, elle' forms of 'aller' followed by an infinitive.
