Key learning points
- Revisiting key phonics, vocabulary and grammar helps to embed knowledge.
- Most adjectives come after the noun in French: 'un livre intéressant'.
- Some adjectives go before the noun. These adjectives refer to beauty, age, good/bad and size (BAGS): 'un vieux vélo'.
- When translating, read the sentences carefully to identify key vocabulary and grammatical structures before translating.

Common misconception
When translating from French to English or vice versa, you simply translate word for word.
Word order is often different in French and English. In many cases, we can't translate word for word and you may need to paraphrase!
