Key learning points
- Nous and vous are the emphatic pronouns for us and you (plural/formal).
- Emphatic pronouns often follow prepositions, e.g. pour nous, avant vous.
- When a nasal vowel such as [an] is followed by a vowel, it is no longer a nasal sound but an oral vowel, e.g. ami.
- Extended listening and reading texts can be exploited to enrich our vocabulary and use of complex structures.
Keywords
Preposition - a word that is used before a noun, a noun phrase or a pronoun, connecting it to another word
