- [ch] is a hard sound after a, o, u and au, and soft after other sounds.
- The infinitive form of a verb is found in the dictionary and usually ends in 'en'.
- Singular persons of regular (weak) verbs in the present tense can be recognised by the endings -e, -st or -t.
