- By the time her parents returned from Australia, Elizabeth had grown into a confident and cheeky child.
- Despite being a princess, like other children she had a nickname which was 'Lilibet'.
- During the family's Christmas party in 1927, she climbed onto the table and threw biscuits at the guests!
- Once, the Archbishop of Canterbury visited George V and found Elizabeth leading him around like a horse by his beard!
- Elizabeth was very fond of horses and dogs which continued into her adult life.
