- Elizabeth was born in one of her family's houses in Mayfair, London on the 21st April 1926.
- She was born into the royal family, her parents were the Duke and Duchess of York.
- When she was still a baby, her parents had to go on an official visit to Australia.
- During this time she spent a lot of time with her grandparents, King George V and Queen Mary.
- They kept her parents informed of her development through telegram.
