Common misconception
Children might not notice that the two small and two large triangles are the same size.
Lay the tangram pieces on top of each other to physically explore and compare the size of each piece.

As before, these slides are simply a guide for the teacher. Pupils should be given opportunities to explore and play with tangram pieces, copy and compose their own images and compare the pieces by placing them on top of one another.
