Common misconception
Pupils will have lots of familiarity with linear number lines but will be less familiar with circular ones. They may not understand that in terms of time, 12 is often followed by 1
Take frequent opportunities outside of the lesson to practise counting around the clock so that pupils get used to the sequence ... 11, 12, 1, 2 ...
