- If two groups of 4 are equal to 8 then two group of 4 tens is equal to 8 tens or 80
- By thinking of a number of 10s, you can scale up and work out the 20, 40 and 80 times tables
- By thinking of a number of 10s, you can scale up and work out ten times the 2, 4 and 8 times tables

Common misconception
Lack of fluency in multiplication facts and / or understanding of word problems. 'Adding a 0' at the end.
