Adjacent - Adjacent means next to each other. An adjacent multiple is a multiple next to another. It could be before or after.
Common misconception
Pupils may not see that adjacent multiples of seven differ by exactly seven.
Show that each step in the 7 times table is adding seven to the previous multiple, reinforcing the concept with number lines or skip counting, use visual aids such as a number line.
Use real-life examples like adding seven days to find the day of the week, demonstrating the practical use of multiples of seven.
