Bar chart - a chart or graph that presents categorical data with rectangular bars with heights or lengths proportional to the values that they represent
Common misconception
Students can often confuse the x and y axis and therefore not read the correct x axis information.
On a bar or line graphs students should get into the habit of physically going along the bottom to read the information along the x axis.
