- 'Este' and 'esta' mean 'this' before a singular or uncountable noun. 'Este' is masculine and 'esta' is feminine.
- 'Estos' and 'estas' mean 'these' before a plural noun. 'Estos' is masculine and 'estas' is feminine.

Common misconception
The suffix -ito is added to the end of any noun to give the meaning 'small'.
