Common misconception
'Hacer' only translates as 'to do, make; doing, making'.
'Hacer' can be used to talk about the weather and therefore we can't always translate phrases with 'hacer' literally. 'Hace sol' translates as 'it's sunny' and 'hizo calor' translates as 'it was hot'.
