- Joining with a selection of techniques will strengthen the box frame.
- Card side panels can add strength to a box frame.
Keywords
Measure - determine the size of an object using a tool
Join - link or connect two or more things together

Common misconception
A common mistake is inaccurate measuring which means the box frame will not be square.
It is important to measure accurately to make sure the box frame is square.
If pupils require further instruction on safe sawing techniques, please refer to lesson 5 in this unit. All pupils should measure their own box frames before cutting rectangular panels as there will be differences in the frame dimensions from earlier accuracy in measuring and cutting.
