Common misconception
The ending -ture can be easily mixed up with (t)cher.
Help pupils to spot words with a root ending in 'ch' or 'tch' with the suffix -er.
There are additional challenges in the exemplar words, such as the 'ea' spelling in 'measure' and 'pleasure'. Draw students' attention to these additional challenges in all words discussed.
