Key learning points

  1. Use 'je suis' for 'I am', 'tu es' for 'you are', 'il est' for 'he is' and 'elle est' for 'she is'.
  2. Use 'j'ai' for 'I have', 'tu as' for 'you have', 'il a' for 'he has' and 'elle a' for 'she has'.
  3. In French, adjectives normally come after the noun, e.g., 'un ordinateur cher'.
  4. An 'e' is added to many adjectives to form the feminine adjective, but not if the adjective already ends in -e.
  5. [ou] sounds like 'nous'.
