- Cardiff Central railway station is the largest railway station in Wales, used by millions of passengers each year.
- Cardiff is home to the only international airport in Wales.
- Cardiff can be reached by car from England on the M4 motorway, though this is a very busy route.
- An Aquabus water taxi runs from the city centre to Cardiff Bay and from there to Penarth, a nearby town.
- The Taff Trail is a mainly traffic-free route from Cardiff to Brecon Beacons National Park that can be walked or cycled.
