Keywords

  • Possession - the team in control of the ball

  • Tactic - plans you create and use to try to win or succeed

  • Adapt - to change or adjust to fit a new situation

Common misconception

Pupils feel embarrassed to admit when they don't understand a tactic or don't listen when tactics are being discussed.

It is really important to encourage pupils to be honest if they don't understand so that their teammates can explain to them. Celebrate and praise pupils/teams who ensure everyone understands, and individuals who speak up when they need help.
