Key learning points
- The irregular verb 'estar' is used for location and states.
- 'Estoy' means 'I am'; 'estás' means 'you are' and 'está' means 'she, he, it is' when talking about location and states.
- Masculine adjectives that end in 'o' change to an 'a' when the person or animal being described is female.
- Adjectives ending in –e or -z can describe a female and male person or animal; they do not change.
